Polypropylene fiber is a synthetic fiber spun from isotactic polypropylene obtained by propylene polymerization, and its trade name in my country is polypropylene.
Polypropylene can be divided into long fibers, short fibers, spunbond nonwovens, meltblown nonwovens, etc. Polypropylene long fibers can be divided into ordinary long fibers and fine denier long fibers (monofilament fineness ≤ 2.2dtex, which can be used to produce clothing and decoration and some industrial filament products. Polypropylene fine denier long fibers have good luster, soft hand, and drapability. Good, low density, suitable for knitting industry, when interwoven with cotton, viscose silk, silk, spandex and other products into cotton cover C, silk cover C and other products, it is an ideal material for making high-end sportswear, T-shirts, etc.
Polypropylene has high strength (same in dry state and wet state), and is an ideal material for manufacturing fishing nets and cables; good wear resistance and resilience, similar in strength to polyester and nylon, and rebound rate comparable to nylon and wool, compared to polyester The fiber and viscose fibers are much larger; the dimensional stability of polypropylene is poor, easy to pilling and deformation, anti-microbial, no moth; chemical resistance is better than ordinary fibers
